Alexander Graham Bell: Inventor of the Telephone, Gifted Pianist, Teacher Extraordinaire, Restless Inventor Philanthropist

A true Scot, Alexander Graham Bell is claimed to be their own by USA and by Canada. One of the Great Scots whose life and work was discussed in my lectures on Great Scottish Inventors at Strathclyde University in July 2014.  A truly restless soul always inventing, experimenting, exploring and helping to improve peoples' lives, Alexander Bell lived his life to the full. One can only marvel at the energy and enthusiasm that characterized everything that Bell did.
Mary Kay Carson's biography of Alexander Bell is a super reference.  I have used this book extensively for preparing the slides.  This valuable help is acknowledged.
